About

The Slovak Chamber of English Teachers/Slovenská komora angličtinárov (SKA) is pleased to host its 3rd annual, international ELT conference. After successfully holding SKA 2015 Bratislava and SKA 2016 Košice, we’re excited to be partnering with the Department of Language Pedagogy and Intercultural Studies (whose faculty area all SKA members) of Constantine the Philosopher University (UKF) in Nitra for our 3rd international conference for and on behalf of Slovakia’s thousands of English teachers. It is our hope that ‘Lifelines & Life Skills: ELT skills for the real world’ will meet the expectations of both our members and partners for quality training in our field of English language teaching. We look forward to seeing you in Nitra!

SKA is an independent, volunteer, non-profit professional association for teachers of English as a foreign language and other ELT professionals working in Slovakia.

SKA currently has over 100 members, including teachers, teacher trainers, university students and instructors, directors of study, school owners, publishers’ reps, writers, editors, researchers and consultants. Anybody who is involved in English teaching in Slovakia (and elsewhere!) can join SKA.
